North American Wetlands Conservation Act Grants

Description

The North American Wetlands Conservation Act Grants provides funding for long term protection, restoration, enhancement and/or establishment of wetland and associated upland habitats to benefit migratory birds.


Eligibility & Requirements

Proposals are first reviewed by the North American Wetlands Conservation Council. Final approval for standard grants is made by the Migratory Bird Conservation Commission. It is advised that applicants first contact the joint venture coordinator in the project region for guidance on developing the project proposal.

1:1 non-federal match is required.


Awards

Standard grants range from $100,000-$1M.

Small grants are capped at $75,000.
